VALUES

VALUES command allows converting explicit data values into a structured data stream. More specifically, VALUES converts input literal arguments to values of the desired type, producing a stream of one or more tuples.

VALUES takes argument array of tuples, with member name-value pairs of data value expressions.

VALUES( [ {name:value_expr, ...}, ... ] )

Example: emit two rows of structured data, consisting of integer, double, ip-address, string and array type of fields:

1
2
3
4
VALUES([
  {int:1, double:2.0, ip:127.0.0.1, string:"Ay carramba!", array:[1,2,3]},
  {int:2, double:5.4, ip:192.168.10.240, string:"D'oh!", array:[100, 289, 1028]},
      ]);

Result:

int double ip string array
1 2.0 127.0.0.1 Ay carramba! [1, 2, 3]
2 5.4 192.168.10.240 D’oh! [100, 289, 1028]
